Tour de Ski 2017, ohjelma ja radat / Program and Courses

Tour round the Alps is calling again. After short Christmas holiday skiers are heading first to Val Müstair in Swizerland. The New Year is celebrated there  with two competitions. After that is Oberstdorf in order also with two starts. On 6th January trucks and skiers are in Toblach Italy.
The last competitions will be in Val di Fiemme.

Fis-Ski: TdS

It seems, that some skiers have not started in after Ruka and are waiting for TdS. They are following pre-competition training before Lahti WSC or might have been sick.

Alppien kiertue kutsuu hiihtäjiä jälleen. Lyhyen joululoman jälkeen hiihtäjät suuntaavat ensin Val Müstairiin Sveitsiin. Uusi vuosi vaihtuu siellä kahden kisan merkeissä. Sen jälkeen matka jatkuu vuorostaan Oberstdorfiin Saksaan, jossa on myös kaksi starttia. Loppiaisena rekat ja hiihtäjät ovat Toblachissa Italian puolella. Viimeiset kiertueen kisat ovat perinteisesti Val di Fiemmessä.

Tänä vuonna näyttää siltä, että osa hiihtäjistä on jättänyt kilpailuja väliin ennen Touria ja osa ilmeisesti taas Tour de Skin kilpailuja. Kuntoa rakennetaan Lahden MM-kilpailuihn ja kunkin valmistautuminen ja sairastelut sanelevat osallistumisia,

1. Leg / Etappi  Val Müstair (Switzerland) 31.12.2016 - 01.01.2017

• It is the first time, that the start of the tour de ski begins in Val Müstair 
• For the first time two races take place in Val Müstair Venue Info 
• The Val Müstair is the home of Dario and Gianluca Cologna 
• The Val Müstair is a touristic region and belongs to the tourism organization “Scuol Samnaun Val Müstair” o www.val-muestair.ch or www.engadin.com 
• The over 1200 years old UNESCO World Heritage Convent St. John is located in Müstair http://www.muestair.ch/

2. Leg / Etappi Oberstdorf (Germany) –  3-4.1.2017

• In course of the building projekt "Skiflugschanze" the artifical snow system is also improved for cross country 
• World Class Athlete: Nicole Fessel (3rd Place at the Olympic Games 2014 – Team Competition) 
• Oberstdorf is Organizer of the 2018 FIS Ski Flying World Championships 
• Oberstdorf is Organizer of the 2021 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships
